Silver City is easy to reach at any time of year from scenic Interstate Highway 10 to US Highway 180, which intersects Interstate 10 in Deming and in Lordsburg.
From Deming, take Highway 180 north approximately one hour to Silver City, passing through the communities of Hurley, Bayard and Santa Clara.
From Lordsburg NM, travelers exit Interstate 10 at the New Mexico Visitor's Center exit, turning left to the frontage road, right onto the frontage road and continuing past Love's Service Station. Within one quarter mile a sign will mark the right turn to Silver City/Highway 90, continue under the railroad track. Another mile will be the right turn onto Highway 90 and a scenic 45 minute drive to downtown Silver City.
Travelers from Albuquerque and northern New Mexico can find Silver City by traveling south on Interstate Highway 25. South of Truth or Consequences, take New Mexico Highway 152 west into the Aldo Leopold Wilderness and Grant County via a winding mountain roadway. Or, travel to Deming and take Highway 180 west to Silver City.
